How to create a business website is best in 2022?

Step #1: Decide a Platform for Your Website

One of the most requested websites in the world, most of them are based on a platform, but they are also available soon. We will now learn how to create a business website 2022.

What do I mean by “platform”?

Also, since 2005 with the webinar wiki, it is essential to create a business website with HTML (Cdigo), CSS, and PHP. If you want them to come to Zeit, you will have perfection, and if you come to Zeit, you will come to them.

In July 2022, Content-Management-Systems (CMS) in WordPress is a very popular website.

Also, it is a CMS (or Website Builder Platform), an easy-to-use platform to build websites and manage your own online content instead of developing a website from scratch.

This year 2022 will be the site of the platforms

I would like to add some information from W3 Techs and BuiltWith, which will be a great addition to your content management system.

Just take a look at this graph below:

It is also a CMS (or website creation platform)

As you can view, the WordPress website platform is used by about half of all websites on the internet.

But what sets you apart from the competition?

Why should you use WordPress instead of a website builder?

  • 1. It’s completely free to create a business website (no recurring subscriptions, código Abierto)

WordPress is free to download, install, and use, unlike website builders or web design tools. It was created by web developers and a large developer community has created attractive free themes and templates to help you get started quickly.

  • 2. It is extremely customizable and easy to use.

You already know how to contribute your content to Google Docs if you know how to use it. WordPress is used with the necessary add-ons for use, and the rapid art of websites for websites, websites for e-commerce websites. You can add contact forms, subscription forms, image galleries, storefronts, and other functionality to your website using WordPress “plugins”. And all very simple.

  • 3. Your website will be optimized for mobile devices. This means it works on both smartphones and tablets.

The website you create is instantly responsive and looks amazing on any mobile device, smartphone, or tablet. You don’t have to pay a web designer for this.

  • 4. Community help is available

since the site is used by so many people (webmasters, small create a business website owner, and bloggers), it’s easy to get quick support (https://wordpress.org/support/) when you need it. You can get free support or hire thousands of WordPress developers on this site. (https://www.upwork.com/ab/profiles/search/?q=wordpress&user_pref=2)

Step 2 – Find a domain name and host

Full Disclosure: This guide is approved by readers. If you click on our links, we may earn a commission. Thank you for supporting us.

To get a new website online, you need two things:

  • A domain name (a web address like yoursitename.com)
  • Website hosting (a service that connects your website to the Internet)

The WordPress platform itself is free, but the hosting and domain name are not. However, the combined cost is still less than that of a coffee, around $3-$5 per month.

To appear professional, you should have your own domain name rather than a free domain owned by someone else (for example, yourcompany.my-free-site.com).

And a quality hosting service will also help ensure that your website doesn’t crash and load quickly (very important for everyone who visits your pages).

Where can I get a domain name and hosting?

I have used www.Bluehost.com primarily as a web host and domain registrar for myself and my web development projects.

Their website hosting costs less than a movie ticket ($2.75/month) and they add a domain name for FREE (a nice bonus).

Of course, you can try other web hosting providers and even try to host your website yourself, but this is a very complicated process that often fails your website visitors. So save some money and get a good web host.

With your own domain name, you can also set up professional email accounts like yourname@yourwebsite.com; it’s much more professional than a regular Yahoo or Gmail address, especially if you need multiple email accounts.

Do you already have a domain name and hosting? Go ahead and skip to Step 3, where I’ll walk you through setting up you create a business website.

What type of domain name should I choose?

When choosing your domain name, you must follow a few rules:

  • If you are creating a business website, your domain name must match your business name. Example: yourcompanyname.com
  • If you plan to create a personal website for yourself, YourName.com can be a great option.

For this page (WebsiteSetup) I chose WebsiteSetup.org

Domain names usually end in .com, .org, or .net, but a large number of domain endings (the last part of the web address, such as .com or .org) has nowadays recently, ranging from .blog to .party.

My best advice? Avoid unusual extensions and use .com, .net, or .org unless they correctly describe your site, and even then it’s usually best to go with a more common extension.

Any additional tips for choosing my domain name?

Several things can help you choose your domain name:

#1 Is it brandable? For example, if you make a site about poetry then best-poetry-website.net is not a good choice: poetryacademy.com or poetryfall.com is much better.

#2 Is this a memorable phrase? Short, descriptive, and easy to remember domain names are much easier to remember. Visitors can forget your domain name if it’s too confusing, too long, or misspelled.

#3 Is it unforgettable? You want an easy-to-remember domain name that describes what you (or your business) does and is easy to remember. With over 200 million active domain names (https://research.domaintools.com/statistics/tld-counts/) in the world today, finding a good name can be difficult, but don’t give up.

When it comes to domain names, one rule always applies: if you like it, get it.

Step #3 – Create a business website and start creating content.

1. Create a business website in WordPress

There are two ways to install WordPress, one much easier than the other.

1. USE ONE-CLICK INSTALLATION TO CREATE A BUSINESS WEBSITE WITH WORDPRESS:

Today, almost all well-known and trusted web hosting companies offer one-click WordPress installation.

When you join Bluehost or another similar hosting company, their “one-click install” should be available during the account registration process or in your account control panel.

For example, to install WordPress on Bluehost (the process is very similar or even identical for many popular web hosting companies), follow these steps:

  1. Visit Bluehost.com
  2. Choose a hosting plan (the cheapest plan is fine)
  3. Enter your domain here if you already have one.
  4. Enter your data and choose the duration of your accommodation (you can ignore the “extras”).
  5. Complete the payment process and create an account.
  6. To install WordPress, log in to Bluehost and select “One Click WordPress Install”.

If you can’t find it, try here: On Bluehost, here’s how to install WordPress. (https://websitesetup.org/how-to-sign-up-with-bluehost/)

2. MANUAL INSTALLATION (if your host does not offer an easy method)

If for some reason you don’t have the option to install WordPress automatically (some hosting companies don’t allow one-click WordPress installation), please refer to the manual guide below:

Install WordPress manually (click to enlarge)

2. Choose a website design (free or premium)

In the next phase, we will look at WordPress themes (https://websitesetup.org/top-wordpress-themes/) and how to use and customize them.

WordPress themes are design templates that make it quicker and easier to update the look of you create a business website.

Fortunately, WordPress offers a plethora of themes to choose from. Over 8,000 themes are available in the official WordPress theme directory, (https://wordpress.org/themes/) all of which are completely free.

Without having to go to an external site, you can access themes directly from WordPress.

Just go to Appearance > Themes and click the big + icon next to Add New Theme.

Then use the search box to find a suitable theme for your site.

On the Details & Overview screen, you can see a demo of any listed theme and learn more about its features.

Once you find a theme you like, click the Install button in the Details & Preview area to install it.

Once the installation process is complete, click on the “Enable” button that appears where the “Install” button was.

If the official theme directory does not meet your needs, go to paid theme marketplaces like:

3. Include content (pages and posts)

You must first have material on your site before you can start customizing.

After all, it’s hard to personalize you create a business website if there’s nothing to display. Depending on the theme of your website and your goals, you need different types of content.

However, there are important pages that almost every website has:

  • home page
  • about page
  • contact page

Consider what information is most useful to your visitors when determining which pages to include. You should also include visual information such as images.

Some WordPress themes include page templates for different types of pages to make things easier. Others also have multiple layout options for each page.

Go to Appearance > Customize to use these options.

In this example, we will create a business website using the latest default WordPress theme, Twenty Twenty-One. The homepage is set to a default static page, which you can change in the homepage settings. Select the page you want to use as your website’s home page from the drop-down menu.

Alternatively, if you want your most recent blog posts to appear on your home page, select the Your most recent posts option.

Click Publish in the upper left corner to confirm your choices.

You can then proceed to create new pages for your website. Go to Pages > Add New in the main panel to do this.

The Gutenberg editor is used by the Twenty Twenty-One theme, so I can add page titles and content here.

You can add things like images and formatting to this page.

To add more pages to your site, repeat the process.

4. Make sure you create a business website that is well organized.

Think of your website as a library.

The more material you add to your website, the more important your website structure becomes.

When learning how to create a business website, you should focus on structuring it in such a way that it makes sense to your visitors and is easy to navigate.

The navigation menu is an important aspect of this. When you’re done creating some pages, it’s time to make them visible to your site users. This can be done by going to Appearance > Menus.

The first step is to give your new menu a name, after which you need to click the Create menu.

Then on the left, you can choose the content to add. For example, click Add to the menu after checking the boxes next to the pages you want to appear in the menu.

You can drag and drop menu items into any order you want, and you can even make them sub-items by dragging them below others, as shown below. Once you are satisfied, select the menu position where you want to display this menu (in this case, the main menu).

Return to the start of your site and click Save Menu again to see the updated menu in action.

Ultimately, you want to reflect a structure that makes sense for your site and helps users get to where they want to go.

5. Other customization options

Go back to Appearance > Customize for more customization possibilities. When you take a look at it, you will notice that it gives you a lot more possibilities to customize your site. You can change other aspects of your website, such as:

  • title and slogan
  • Colors
  • Typography
  • Background picture
  • menus
  • widget

You can also change the look of your homepage and blog, as well as add custom code. Depending on the theme you have installed, the options displayed will be different.

In addition to theme editing, WordPress offers a large number of free and expensive plugins. There are around 60,000 plugins in the official WordPress plugin directory alone that can add a variety of additional features and functionality to your site. Additionally, third-party marketplaces offer a plethora of options.

To install new plugins, go to Plugins > Add New.

You will be presented with a list of some of the most popular plugins currently available. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, use the search field.

Click the Install Now button to add plugins to your website. Once the download is complete, click Activate. Under Plugins in the WordPress main menu, you’ll find all of your site’s plugins, along with the ability to enable, disable, and remove them.

Some options to consider when it comes to which plugins to install are:

  • Yoast SEO – A popular SEO plugin that adds on-page optimization prompts to every page and post, and provides the ability to configure Open Graph social media tags.
  • Jetpack – Improve website speed, optimization, social media integration, digital marketing, contact forms, and website search with a variety of features.
  • Smush – This plugin compresses photos before uploading them to WordPress, which saves disk space and speeds up page load times.
  • WooCommerce – The most popular WordPress eCommerce store plugin, WooCommerce makes setting up an online store easy. More on that below.
  • MonsterInsights – Add Google Analytics to your WordPress dashboard with this plugin.

Installing a page builder plugin gives you even more control over how your website looks. These plugins add drag and drop functionality to your website, allowing you to create entire web designs instead of just individual pages and posts. The most popular options include:

  • Elementor – This all-in-one website builder offers visual website editing, fast loading speeds, and a huge library of templates.
  • Divi – Developed by Elegant Themes, Divi offers another easy approach to website customization.
  • Beaver Builder – A simple page builder plugin that drastically reduces the time it takes to build a website.

6. Embed the blog (optional)

A blog is not mandatory for all websites. On the other hand, creating one can be a great way to regularly post new information, demonstrate your knowledge, and provide value to your readers.

To create a blog in WordPress, you must first select a blog site. I mentioned earlier that you can set your homepage to automatically display your most recent posts. If you want to keep your homepage static and have your own blog page, you need to create it first.

Create a blank page (Pages > Add New), name it Blog (or whatever you want, but Blog makes sense because it automatically creates the address yoursite.com/blog for your blog page), and post is all you have to do. obligatory. Then select it as your publishing page in Appearance > Customize > Home Page Settings or Settings > Reading.

All blog posts will appear on your selected page once you save them. Remember to include it in your navigation menu!

To add blog posts to your site, go to Posts > Add New.

This will take you to the same content editor that you previously used for your pages. Your blog post should have a title and content. Add graphics and formatting, as well as headings, lists, and anything else the document requires. You can also apply categories and tags, define an excerpt, and set a featured image in the right sidebar.

When you’re done editing, click Publish. Congratulations on completing your first post!

Adding an online store is number seven (optional)

An eCommerce store is not required for all websites. Read on if you want to learn how to create a website with an online store.

WooCommerce is the most popular plugin for this purpose.

It’s easy to set up, with a variety of payment alternatives and a variety of themes that are ideal for creating an online store. In addition, it offers many checkout extensions that allow you to modify and adapt your eCommerce site to a variety of uses.

8. Configure SSL.

A Secure Socket Layer (SSL) on your website ensures the security of the data delivered to your website visitors. SSL is an important component of search rankings, and protecting user privacy and security is critical to ensuring a great user experience.

Follow the steps below to ensure SSL is enabled on your new Bluehost website:

  1. Sign in to your Bluehost account.
  2. First, go to My Sites.
  3. Select Manage Website from the drop-down menu.
  4. On the next screen, locate the Security tab.
  5. Check your Free SSL Certificate or SSL Certificate in Let’s Encrypt’s Security Certificate: Status field. The switch must be set to the on position.
  6. Please visit your website again to ensure SSL is enabled. A lock icon should appear next to the domain name in your web browser’s address bar.

9. Go live with your WordPress site

It’s time to officially launch your website once it’s ready. Please check your settings and check your articles and pages again. If everything seems fine, click the Coming Soon link at the top of the dashboard.

After that, scroll down and click on the Launch Your Site button.

Now you can see your website live.

Check each page to make sure all links work, your text is legible, and your graphics are structured properly (you can use this checklist as a reference). (https://websitesetup.org/website-launch-checklist/)
